Our dogs are just like our kids for many of us and if you wouldn’t give your kids candy at every opportunity, why would you give your dog rich treats filled with added sugars and hard-to-digest processed ingredients?
Fruits and vegetables make a perfect treat for your pup!
And if they’re anything like our dogs, they hardly chew the treats and will take a slice of banana gladly!
However, there are those dogs that are a tad particular (and fruits and vegetables that aren’t great for Fido) so we’ve compiled a list of dog-safe fruits and vegetables. Save it, share it, print it, and hang it on your fridge!
Fruit Safe for Dogs:
Watermelon – without seeds
Veggies Safe for Dogs:
Carrots – raw or cooked
Oranges, tangerines, clementines, and other citrus fruits are not toxic to your dog but they are high in sugars and may cause GI to upset if your dog eats too much of them. The citric acid in these fruits is not a concern to dogs. However, it can be a problem in some cats.
